Prudent’s Condition Inspection Group, led by licensed professional engineers experienced in structural condition inspection, evaluated 235 bridges in NYSDOT Region 2 (Mohawk Valley Region). These included both state-owned and locally owned bridges, consisting of single as well as multiple spans, carrying highways over waterways, railroads, and other highways. A number of the bridges carried a historic scenic railroad over highways and waterways. A wide variety of bridge types were inspected, including steel through truss, steel through-girder, concrete and masonry arch, concrete rigid frame, steel or prestressed concrete multi-beam, and culvert bridges.
