Environmental Services
Client: Florida DOT
Location: Pensicola, Florida
Status: Under Construction
Objectives:
To collect the underwater noise data for the test piles
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) proposed to construct a new, two-span bridge to replace the existing Pensacola Bay Bridge that spans Pensacola Bay between the cities of Pensacola and Gulf Breeze.
Prior to the start of production pile driving for construction of the new bridge, a test pile program will be conducted in order to perform pile load testing, conduct hammer performance tests, and collect underwater noise data from a representative subset of test piles.
Prudent Engineering was subcontracted by Conn Environmental to collect the underwater noise data for the test piles.
